One Short Blog

It's been a month since I had my last post. I'm not busy I'm just too lazy to update my blog... (luh! problems of a frustrated blogger) haha. Anyway, Last month I cut my hair short. Well, for my college and newly met friends it's a new look but for my childhood friends it's a throwback look. Here's a sneak peak of my short hair look.
Yay or Nay?

That's it for now. I'll be updating my blog soon. *wink*

Hearts and Leopards:Pearls and Golds

I have nothing much to say for today. I'll keep this post short and simple just like my OOTD.
I spent my day with my family. Attended Sunday mass, went to grocery store, then had a lunch with them.

As you can see I'm wearing the same ring. I just love this ring but I love the person more who gave this to me.

My feet got tired after wearing this shoes for two days.

I wore pants when we attended the mass at Angin. Shorts/skirts above the knee are not allowed at their the church. I just changed and wore this leopard print shorts when we went to supermarket and during our lunch date. :)

It's Just A Bad Day Not A Bad Life

No traspo, heavy traffic, bad network connection! Wow! What a day. I should be going to city today to watch Gravity with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, I'm not be able to arrive on my destination due to heavy traffic. There's this Iglesia ni Cristo Evangelic Mission Event. The event was held somewhere in San Juan Open Ground along the National Highway. They were giving reliefs and medical mission. Sa dami ng INC na nagpunta and some people from other religion yun nagkaron ng traffic. Imagine, I was stuck inside the bus for almost 2 hours. Urgh! I can't bear the heat and boredom so I called my boyfriend and told him where I am and my situation. Since I was stuck infront of Cube-O Grill and their house were just few steps away I told him it's better if we'll just change our plans. Instead of going to city and watch movie, we'll just have our dinner at Cube-O. So, I went to their house stayed there (for another 2 hours) and wait him until he arrives from his classess. I thought our problem ended there. I got a call from him and he said nag overheat yung car nila and nastuck din sila sa city. Whew! So I decided to go home na lang. Sayang naman ang outfit ko hindi ko man lang nairampa. Huhu..

I admit I got annoyed this day. But if I come to think of it, this day is a blessing for many people. Despite of bad day experiences, annoying traffic and failed plans, many people were given reliefs and free check up. Thanks to the INC. God Bless their hearts. :)

Entry #4: Simple and Sweet Sunday

It's Sunday and it's a dressing up day for me.*giggles* I woke up a little bit late so I need to dress up quickly so I can catch the mass on time. Luckily they invented dresses! Aside from making you sweet and sassy, they're also time savers. Isang suotan lang and you're done...

I keep my outfit simple yet sweet.
Lace and floral tank-top dress for me is perfect for Sunday outfits.
Earrings: Gift from my Mom
Necklace: Thrift Store

Ring: Penshoppe
Oxford Shoes: Juana
Closer Look: Narcissism shot
Walking Shot

Here's what I learned from Holy Mass today. "Be merciful to those who doubt. Save some by snatching them as from the very flames of hell itself. And as for others, help them to find the Lord by being kind to them, but be careful that you yourselves aren't pulled along into their sins. Hate every trace of their sin while being merciful to them as sinners"

Have a Blessed Sunday people! xoxo

Entry #3: Limited

Yesterday, My boyfriend and I went to Baguio City to get our board certificates. We arrived there late (around 1 pm) and we need to leave the city before 5 pm. We need to be at home before it gets dark. Though we usually go to this place, (we're 2 hours away from this city) I'm still afraid of travelling on a zigzag road with almost zero visibility caused by fog. That's why we don't have much time to walk around and I have limited photos to share. Hu-hu

Blazer: made by my grandmother
Top: Jellybean
Shorts: Crissa
Oxford: Juana

oh-oh! My photographer doesn't know how to look for a nice background.
Sorry for the trash can and for the walking people.. Haha

Battling Nursing: My Life's Battle

August 23, 2012
Thursday
"The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 27,823 out of 60,895 passed the Nurse Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Nueva Ecija, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last June 20" - Professional Regulation Commission
My UNO Family.
We all passed the Nursing Licensure in just one shot. :)

August 23, 2013
Friday

A year ago, someone texted me and congratulated me for passing the Nursing Licensure Exam. I logged into the PRC website immediately to confirm if my name was really on the list. Yes Thank God! I am one of those 27,823 who passed the NLE. At that time, my world stopped for a moment and the only feeling I felt was extreme happiness. I become egocentric and start posting to social networks, calling and texting my friends telling "HEY! I WON THE BATTLE! I'M ALREADY A REGISTERED NURSE!" Those sleepless night reading and studying nursing concepts, the money that my parents spent on my schooling and on my review center, and of course their sacrifices were all worth it.

Now, It's exactly one year since I conquered that battle. Same date but the feeling was different. The happiness of passing my board exam still remains but the feeling where I am now? Ha-ha...

Honestly, Nursing is not my choice. It's my parents' choice. (I know! That statement is too mainstream. Overused by other nurses and nursing students) My parents wanted me to take up nursing because it's one of the easiest way to work abroad. Ugh! Even though I don't like nursing I still took it as my degree and take it seriously not because of monetary issue but because it will be my profession in the future and  I will be holding lives of people. Four years... Five years if you will count until this day. I tried to love and accept my profession, but until now, I'm still confuse if this is really the path I'll be taking for the rest of my life. I know it's insane! I studied for four years, striving hard to pass my exams, spending money, taking the board, praying hard. Then what now? I graduated, I passed, I even started to practice my profession then here I am, telling that I'm still confused? Ho-ho! Crazy huh! I may have won the battle against NLE but the battle of my Nursing Life still continues.

I still have a choice and I think I'll still choose to continue the path I had started. I believe that everything has a reason. Out of 60,895 takers only 27,823 who made it and I am one of them. I believe God permitted me to pass my board exam because he wants me to be a nurse. I just need to keep my faith in Him and go with the flow.

Whatever I am experiencing right now, I know that God is always with me. I can see that even though I'm not sure of the path I'm taking, He's always there to be my guide. Amen! :)

My graduation picture...
I can't sleep the night before my oath taking that's why my eyes are so puffy.

My boyfriend and I during our Oath Taking
Another picture of us...
We're showing you our Board Ratings!
We both got line of eight! :)

It's so funny, I'm making drama and telling I am confuse with my career but I'm posting photos and seems like I'm happy for what I am.. So weird. -_-

Ninoy Aquino Day

Today, Philippines is commemorating the anniversary of the 1983 assasination of former Senator Beningno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr.

I was not yet born at that time and I really don't know what really happened and what's the status of Philippines back then. I just depend on news, internet, stories etc. Many people say Ninoy was a hero of democracy. He fought for the rights of Filipino people and his assassination led to the downfall of Ferdinand Marcos.

At present, many Filipinos prefer to leave their own country for the sake of better living. Corruption and violence is very rampant, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Are Filipinos really worth dying for? For me it's still a yes! Though many Filipinos prefer to leave their own country I know it's for the sake of living. And I can see that Filipinos still love their country because many of them still want and eager to go back to their native homeland, keeping the Filipino cultures and traditions at their heart, praying for the Philippines. For the corruption, violence and other government issues, stop blaming others, stop blaming the government. If only we'll use our brains on choosing our leaders, if only we will discipline ourselves, abide the laws and be a good citizen we can have a great nation. Let's not put into waste what our heroes died for.

I still have faith on this country. I am still hoping that Philippines will be at it's greatest prosperity someday. *fingerscrossed*

Short Cake (Just Add Water)

Hello there! One of my frustrations is to become a chef... It's always been my dream since I was young. But I can cook---a little (simple recipes!) So here! I want to share my story about my "another-failed-recipe." I was rummaging through our kitchen and I found this Pancake plus and tried the suggested recipe. Honestly, this is my first time to make a cake. So I think it's alright if I'll start with instant mix. :)

Just Add water! Very instant :)
target recipe! :P

These are my ingredients. Pancake flour, half of the syrup and water for the cake mix. Nestle cream, sugar, other half of the syrup, small amount of gulaman powder (dissolve in hot water) for the frosting.

Ingredients...

As shown in the box Just Add Water! And that's what I did for the cake. That's very easy for me. I can perfectly do that. Ha-ha. My only problem is the frosting.

My strawberry cake mixture
oh yeah! I used oven toaster... (The box said I can use it.. Ha-ha)
Here's my product. See! I told you I can make the cake.

Since this is my first time to make a cake and I don't know how to do the frosting chu-chu. That made my masterpiece to fail... Actually, It doesn't even look like one. It's too watery (Sorry, I may not be able to show it. I forgot to take a picture)

Lucky I have Hershey's syrup to save me! I always use this to make my food works to look good and appetizing. :))

My savior!
Tenen! Here's my finish product. It's actually a strawberry shortcake but we don't have  strawberry fruit so I just used cherries instead of strawberry.. (it's also red and small. Ha-ha)

Even if I failed on frosting I can still say that it tastes good. (and looks like a cake) *giggles*

Entry #1: Feeling Blue

So here I am trying to post a "fashion" entry... haha! Actually, this was my outfit last Sunday. (the day when Typhoon Labuyo entered the Philippine's Area of Responsibility)
Here's the original plan: My boyfriend and I will watch a movie, then visit Milkywave to try their milk tea and other stuffs they offer, then attend afternoon mass. When I left our house, the weather was still fine. I can still see Mr. Sun and it's not that windy much much..(ugh! I can't construct my sentence on that part. I'll just leave it like that) But after watching Percy Jackson, tenen! here comes the strong winds and a dark gray sky... Huhu, So we decided to go home immediately. We don't want to be basang sisiws. :(

When I got home, I asked my sister to take me a photo 'cause I'll be posting it somewhere...

I offer my legs to you Typhoon Labuyo.. Haha
I find my outfit perfect for the gloomy weather.. (minus the shorts, but it's ok. I love wearing shorts!)
Here's a closer look :p

Here's some behind the scene photos (char!) I made them black and white because I find it better than having them on colored. :))

That goes my first entry... ciao!

New "B"

Hi Weblog! Welcome me to your world! Tadaa!

Yes! Finally I made a real blog. (I hope it will be really a real one.) Hmm, Since I was hooked  on surfing blogs (fashion, foods, etc. etc. blah-blah). I wanted to make one. But that has been a plan years ago (I'm not that sure kasi if I can maintain it). I have a microblogging site called Tumblr but I'm not  that active like when I first joined it. See! I really had problems with maintenance. Haha, Anyway, there's no harm in trying so I'll do this... :))

PS: I'm not making any promises that my entries will be worthy and meaningful (that explains my url) but I can put a little effort though. I will try my best. xoxo :)
